What The Product Claims:
Created by dentists, similar to professional whitening light technology, zero tooth sensitivity, whitens 6 shades in 1 hour.
How To Use It:
Shake up the mouth rinse and swish 2 teaspoons around in your mouth for 10 seconds. Immediately shake and brush the gel to your front teeth being very careful not to get it onto your lips or gums, as it can burn. Position mouth so all teeth are showing fully and put the light up to your teeth. Press the button, and let it go. It will automatically shut off after 2 minutes.
Repeat from the beginning a minimum of 10, but only up to a full 20 cycles.
I bought this product specifically because of the promise of zero tooth sensitivity. I have used basic dissolving whitening strips in the past and they absolutely destroyed my tooth enamel, so I have to be extremely cautious as to what I use on my teeth, including toothpaste and mouthwash. This lived up to it's claim about no sensitivity, I haven't experienced any sensitivity yet.
I have used this kit twice, 10 sessions each. After the total of 20 sessions, I need to go and buy more wash and gel (which fortunately you can purchase for about $40 instead of having to re-purchase the entire $60 kit again)
As for the actual whitening quality of this product, it did a great job. My teeth were never horribly yellow to begin with, but I do have coffee stains and they were just looking a little lack luster. They did a really great job just brightening up my smile, and people actually did notice.
The only bad thing I have to say about this is it is extremely tedious. I know that 10 cycles only takes 1 hour, but it feels like one of the longest hours of your life. Just the exact same 3 processes over and over again is tad dull, but then again, how exciting can bleaching your teeth really get. Also, the gel really can hurt if it comes into contact with your lips and gums, and that can be kind of difficult to avoid at times.
A small problem, but may only be true for a few people, is I seemed to have a lot of saliva build up when using this, and I would end up drooling everywhere if I wasn't careful. And since you need to almost constantly have your mouth open, it was a little hard to control. My solution was to have a tea towel next to me in case.
Get To The Point...
What's To Love:
-Final results overall are great
-No sensitivity
-Not tested on animals!
-Brightens and refreshes a dull smile
-Easy to use
-Lives up to promises
What's To Not:
-Tedious
-Can be painful if you aren't careful
-Do not swallow or get on your tongue, it tastes dreadful
Final Thoughts
Basically, this product lived up to it's claims and did what it said. It can be a bit fumbly and tedious, but it does get the job done at the end of the day. Good whitening quality, no sensitivity which is a huge plus, much better than any other whitening system I have ever used, plus cruelty free. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a practical, pain free whitening system.
